Today and for the year ahead, I am declaring myself to be the Artist in Residence of Clapham Common.
What that will look like?
It looks like: drawing, walking, noticing and documenting my experience of the common – getting to know the trees, the birds, paying attention to how the common changes, shifts and appreciating the gifts it brings.
There are no plans to document this beyond a monthly post – this is an analogue project that sits alongside the writing of my new book and my role as a parent.
I anticipate joy and discovery. I anticipate inner resistance and doubt. I feel excited.
