Summary

Food. We can't live without it and yet too many of us have a relationship with our appetites and with food that can be challenging. This is especially the case around sugary and/or fatty foods - diet culture both demonises and celebrates them. Narratives around food is fed by misunderstanding as well as the need for profit of food manufacturers. To see something clearly is to understand it and, if you'd like to, to make changes. Understanding our own stories around food, what I think of as Sugar Stories, can be transformative. It has been for me and I'd love to support you on your own journey to freedom around all food I can help you: notice your own habits and learnt behaviours let go of anxiety around food and making food choices bring awareness to you beliefs around food create a relationship with food that brings you joy challenge 'good' and 'bad' food thinking support you in processing any shame or challenges around food

Experience

As a writer and coach, I’m well-placed to support you in a judgement free way. I’m trained by the highly regarded Coach Training World and am currently working towards an ICF accreditation.

I’m very aware of the way that race, gender, class and sexuality intersect with our behaviours and I work in a way that acknowledges, rather than ignores, structural issues.

As someone who has liberated themselves from a history of disordered eating (different from an eating disorder and much more common), I am accepting and welcoming of you wherever you are right now and wherever you’d like to be.

I’m currently working with people one on one but will be facilitating group sessions once restrictions are lifted. I can meet you in person, on the phone or via Zoom.

Fees: £60 per hour

Book ten sessions for £540

Sliding scale available for those on lower incomes or benefits. I also offer a few free hours every month to those who are struggling. Don’t hesitate to ask.
