What does slow feel like? I recently realised that I didn’t know. I’ve never done slow. Anywhere in my life. Ever. I am doing it now. Well, kind of. I think. I don’t even know what it feels like to be doing it… So, I wrote a few thoughts on slowness. More to follow. But, slowly 🙂

Slowness is…

Space between communications
Pausing in conversation, in activities, reflecting on where you’re at
Considering your multiple options in the now, even if it’s just for a few minutes
Noticing the breath and your body
Taking several moments before replying to that email. Or text
Allowing time between appointments
Permitting pauses
Taking more than one coffee break
Going out for a lunch break
Dawdling
It’s unfamiliar to most of us and not accessible to all, or enough, of us
It’s vital.
